It’s a subjective question. It depends on what you want to do and how serious you are about photography. I wouldn’t bother going the 20d route, instead go with a 40d (notice I didn’t say 50d) if you want a great semi-pro camera with a crop sensor. The price is about $700 bucks for the thing used. To compensate for the crop, get the 17-40L lens – Together they make a great kit. If you go with the 5d Mark II, you may never buy another camera again. There’s plenty of room to grow. If you’ve been shooting for a long time and dont need your hand held, I’d go this route. Better everything.
